Charles “Chip” Esten was born September 9, 1965 in Alexandria, Virginia where he was raised. He graduated from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. His first theatrical debut was in London in the West End hit musical “Buddy” where he played Buddy Holly. Funny, I always thought I was Greg Proops who was more likely to play Buddy Holly in a play.
In college, Chip met his future wife Patty. Chip and Patty currently live in Los Angeles and have two daughters, Taylor and Addie, and a son, Chase.
Chip’s television appearances include “Party of Five”, “The Trouble With Normal”, “Outside Providence”, “Star Trek Voyager”, and “Married…With Children”. He has appeared in movies such as “The Postman” and “13 Days” and has also appeared in Billy Crystal’s HBO movie “61*”.
